Network Rail's £5m to upgrade level crossings in Morecambe [BBC News]

Network Rail has announced plans to spend £5m upgrading and renewing three level crossings in the Morecambe area. The crossings at Hest Bank and Bolton-le-Sands on the West Coast mainline and one at Bare Lane station all have equipment dating from the 1970s. [From Mark Bartlett]
