Finance Secretary John Swinney rejected an offer by Network Rail to salvage the Glasgow Airport Rail Link (Garl) immediately after the prestige project was cancelled last September

Grand entrance. Platform 11a at Glasgow Central in Sept 2007. 334015 stabled at Platform 11a of Glasgow Central in October 2006. This is the proposed platform for Glasgow Airport under the plans for the rail link. Platform 11a will be extended inside the station and the current shiort stay car park removed.
