£1m a mile project completed on time [Network Rail Article]

A four-week, £10.4 million Network Rail project to renew 10.5 miles of track between Hellifield and Clitheroe was successfully completed when the line reopened this week.

A cement empties train from Avonmouth to the Castle Cement plant at Horrocksford approaches Clitheroe station behind DBS 66023. The cement plant is less than a mile beyond here and the loco will run round at Horrocksford Junction before propelling the wagons along the short branch into the terminal.
